Welcome to the ATS-DO Unit Website
The ATS Directorate Office (ATS-DO Unit) plays a pivotal role in guiding and assisting the CERN ATS sector with major initiatives and operations.
This unit encompasses the main projects and studies that are managed through the Support to Project Office (S2PO):
- The High-Luminosity (HL-LHC) Project,
- Some European Union projects (e.g. iFAST),
- The following key studies: Future Circular Collider (FCC), Linear Collider Studies (e.g. Compact Linear Collider, etc.),
- The CERN Accelerator School (CAS).
The S2PO also oversees the administration of the AWAKE Project and the International Muon Collider Collaboration (IMCC) Study.
The ATS-DO unit includes transversal activities, amongst which are Medical Accelerators & Applications, Sustainability, Energy Coordination, and more.
It additionally hosts the Technical Audit Team, which is responsible for organizing the Specification Committees for the entire ATS Sector.
